ARISE Together in Christ Program Starts Up
WESTON - St. Julia Church in Weston and Lincoln will begin the second year of a three-year spiritual renewal program called ARISE Together in Christ. At least six small group sessions are being planned throughout Weston and Lincoln, scheduled to begin the week of Oct. 5.
Sign-up occurs the weekend of Sept. 19 and 20 and can be done after all Masses in Weston and Lincoln, or at www.stjulia.org. A new addition this year is an early morning Saturday session in Weston; other sessions and meeting times may be found on the sign-up cards or at the Web site.
Each session combines prayer, reflection, scripture readings and commitment to action. This year’s theme is "In the Footsteps of Christ" and will focus on the call to discipleship and explore the Catholic social teaching of the church.
ARISE will also take place at the same time in other parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Boston. The parish-centered program enables people to deepen their faith, develop closer relationships with fellow parishioners, and reach out in service to others.
